Casa Caritas: A House of Welcome
We need to gather like this more often, we need spaces where it is okay to talk about God.
This is what Casa Caritas is all about—a place for us all to reflect upon where God is in the midst of our lives. It is a place where people are comfortable talking about God, and perhaps even God’s call to each of us—whether that be through single life, married life, or religious life.
Our Inspiration
Casa Caritas is named for Sr. Caritas McCarthy, who described being touched by the abundance of God’s love through crashing ocean waves. Sr. Caritas pointedly noted that God keeps sending the ocean waves, even where there is no one to watch. This spirit inspires ours of abundant giving, openness, and love.
Casa Caritas, which offers prayer nights every Monday in English and Tuesday in Spanish, is located in Philadelphia, Pa. All are invited to attend. To learn more, contact Sr. Carmen Torres at 610-626-1400, x304.
